The 'Terrier Winch System' is at the top level of our winch systems designed to meet the high performance and high speed requirements of serious off-road challenge events. It is designed for the professional off-road user and can be used in many different locations on the vehicle. Its small profile roller bearings and extreme speed will ensure you are guaranteed the best winching experience possible.
Product Overview
This winch is part of a new speed generation from RED Winches that have undergone extensive design and testing. These winches are now available on the commercial market and as such offer something previously unavailable. This winch is fitted with roller bearings from a renowned bearing manufacturer and can carry loads up to 12 tonnes while still offering a smooth operation. Ideal if free-spool performance is at the top of your list.
The end user can now enjoy a professional highly engineered high performance winch capable of operating at the highest speeds possible.The small compact size combined with its speed t make it an ideal winch for challenge events and serious competitions worldwide.

The Design
The winch is driven via a 100cc hydraulic motor supplied with 2 x ½" BSP ports 'A' & 'B'.
A solenoid valve can be supplied to control this winch.
Various products can be supplied to control the solenoid valve remotely. From a dash mounted switch to a wireless remote, please ask for details.
The Manufacture
The winch drum is unpainted on the core to support the capstan effect performed on the drum by the rope tightening under load'. During trials this has been shown to give a much better long lasting grip onto the drum. A minimum of eight (8) wraps of the drum must be seen on the first layer before winching under load.
The drum is supported by a world leader in roller bearing technology. This allows for the smoothest and most efficient winching compared to the industry standard plain bearing technology.
THE PEOPLE
Maximum length of 30m (90ft) of 12mm diameter synthetic rope.
